Will Bobby Die in the ‘9-1-1’ Season 7 Finale? Watch Promo (PHOTOS)

This is definitely one time we need a promo to be misleading! Otherwise, the 118 could very well be about to lose its captain in the 9-1-1 Season 7 finale.

The promo for the ominously titled “All Fall Down” is all about the aftermath of the penultimate episode’s cliffhanger, which saw Bobby (Peter Krause) and Athena’s (Angela Bassett) house set on fire. He got her out, but just as help arrived, he collapsed, and his heart was stopped when the episode ended.

Now, Athena wakes in the hospital, where Buck (Oliver Stark), Hen (Aisha Hinds), Chimney (Kenneth Choi), and Eddie (Ryan Guzman) are waiting. “Where’s my husband?” she asks. Bobby’s on a ventilator, and the doctors aren’t sure if he’s going to be okay. “I’m here, baby,” Athena says, sitting at his bedside. “They’re saying you may already be lost. And I just don’t know if I can bear that.” The video, which you can watch above, ends with it looking like he’s flatlining.

According to the logline for the finale, “following the devastating fire at the Nash home, Bobby’s fate remains uncertain, while Athena embarks on a mission to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Hen and Karen [Tracie Thoms] engage in a heated custody battle, while Christopher grapples with forgiving Eddie.”

The fire comes after one of the people injured in the fire Bobby accidentally caused that killed his family showed up. Athena went to Amir (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) when she became concerned about Bobby, but the other man didn’t take it well when he saw the happy family photos in their home.

The penultimate episode also saw others find out about Eddie spending time with his dead wife’s doppelganger, Kim (Devin Kelley). She stopped by the station, and Buck met her, then Eddie’s girlfriend Marisol and his son Christopher found them together in his house.

“There are some bombshells coming,” Guzman previously told TV Insider. “There are some massive events coming for Eddie. And as far as we know, Eddie has always kind of had somebody to run to. He might not have anybody to run to anymore for Season 8. Yeah, there are things that are going to be happening in Eddie’s life that are going to leave him feeling isolated. … Season 8 is going to be almost like a refresh button for Eddie, starting into this new lifestyle of his and how to navigate uncharted waters.”
